Buck Naked vs. Ursa Major

My first published illustration of all time. I really hope Banner Year does more of these theme illustration things, as I absolutely loved doing this. THERE ARE STILL COPIES AVAILABLE . Why, for the love of god do you not have ten copies of this in your home library?
This is done in traditional media. The only changes digitally were light clean up, and blackening the forest in the background. Done on Ingram's Bond animation paper with a micron.

Cornfields of Passion

My friend Stephanie and her husband John wanted to thank the guy who put on their wedding for free, so they wanted me to do a crushed velvet painting drawing. Well the rough of that. So I designed this for that very thing, however, the velvet painter flaked out at the last second so I speed painted this at the 11th hour for them. Honestly, the color took all of 3 hours to do, which I'm super proud of.
My idea was of a harlequinn romance novel cover, but since the guy runs a music festival, I did it 12" by 12", so it works as an album cover as well.

movin' to the city

Suburb living is the pits. I prefer the country AND the city to the suburbs. It's not even a nice suburb. It's like a suburb that's LESS nice than the city it's next to, in every respect. While it's nice to live so close to my family, and go to the P.H. Mueller Gallery every other week for open-mic night/potluck, Hammond, Indiana doesn't have a whole lot to hold my interest.
I drew this a while ago. I think I'm really starting to understand how to draw trees. This is weirdly important to me, you guys totally don't understand. (I used to live near trees!) I drew this right after buying ALL CALVIN AND HOBBES EVER.

Fairy Demon

This is the first drawing I ever did for myself on a cintiq. I did it at work on my breaks, back when I was per hour. Which makes this from 3 months ago about. I've had a lot going on, but that's no reason not to have posted this then.

MORT

I was in the mood to ink something tonight, and KC Green posted this to his twitter. So I figured, why not?
Also: it's kind of gigantic if you click on it.
