Concussed

This is my art blog and all, and I don't want to use it as a sounding board for personal stuff, but today, coming into work, I attempted to dodge a tree and ended up ramming head-first into a telephone box. I screamed an audible that shook the building to it's core... or, rather everyone heard it.
I'm pretty sure that I currently am going through what's known in the head-trauma business as a "mild concussion." I have to say, I would not suggest getting one!

HOLD ON A SECOND!

How, may I ask, is this fair? When I was a child, all I wanted to do was make cartoons and play with muppets. One of my dreams came true. I sit here during a short break from my very awesomeful job animating writing this. But I never got an official muppet.

NOW THIS. This is totally unfair, and I completely envy today's children, even if it IS an economic downturn.

Ghost Train GLOVE

After seeing "Sita Sings the Blues" it kind of popped into my head that I could probably make my own movie, if she could. Not that I'm putting her accomplishment down or anything, but I believe I could do what she did. I've been working with the program "Harmony" recently. A LOT. It's cut-out animation tools are phenomenal. I'm not a huge fan of it's drawing tools, but I've used worse.
Luckily, someone close to me is better with color than I am, because I don't think I have any idea what I'm doing when it comes to making these colored pictures. I think it looks kind of like I need it to. I mean I understand color theory, I'm just not very good at the actual act of coloring.

ANYWAY, I sort of have an idea for a movie, and I'm trying to shape it as much as I can. I've got a few details down. Not a lot. I've got the designs of a couple of the characters pretty cemented, but I don't really have any of their names. Except the main character. I didn't really think I'd get this far, but something bad happened that spurred this on a little further than some of my ideas get.

I will elaborate a little more later on, when more ideas are cemented more thoroughly.
