Panel 5 Page 0001

OK so I've decided to commit to the comic book that I've been doodling in my sketchbook at work. As long as I remain bored at my job, I will continue to have a constant supply of ideas. SOMEONE told me that the comic is interesting and funny, and really that's all I need.

This is a series of color tests. I'm insterested in seeing what people think of the different color choices. I prefer the gradient monotoned one.

This one is kind of a pain to do in GIMP or what it's an equivalent to. It does have an interesting feel to it. This is the only one that you kind of need to do a full view of.
Full color. I like block colors, and they work with my style, but they seem a little like an afterthought sometimes. Especially in some comics I've seen.
Gradient Monochrome. It has a little more value in it, but it's still pretty simple. I'm warm to the idea in ways, but nothing is set in stone. I would imagine it would tire the eye out after a while. Plus I haven't even added the test in yet, so maybe that would change things
I colored the background in by mistake, but this is a good one. I've seen comics like this before and I really want to do one like it. They're mostly short form web comics, whereas this would be a very long form possibly printed comic.
GRAY! I kind of like it. It looks like it could be printed on cheap paper and sold to people on subways. I don't know why the idea of that is interesting to me.
Chromatic Gradient! This one looks like I put more effort into it, which is always good. The more it looks like I worked on it without having to work on it the better. I'm not sure though.

Father's Day

I'll come out and admit that I HATE the last panel of this comic. After doing a couple of pages today, I have come to the conclusion that there will always be ONE panel per page that I can't stand. It just doesn't feel like it matches the rest of the comic. I think the body is a little long. If it was professional work I'd rework it until I no longer enjoyed drawing, but it's a cute comic for my dad, and I honestly don't think he's going to be upset about a slightly off last panel. Plus it has 0 touch-ups on it, which I can't really say much on my blog has. There's even a bothersome mistake on the first before last panel, but it doesn't really ruin anything

the new style

I kind of want to give my main character from a little comic project I'm working on a new haircut. Some designs I'm mulling over, starting with the current do:

BEE LINE TO A NEW UPDATE

I will have something bigger soon, but here is a fancy bee, who produces extra fancy honey for extra fancy people.
