Since Blogger FREAKS OUT when you put non-YouTube video on your blog, I'll just provide you with the link. It's my Christmas card.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT
as a side note, since it's a swf file opening in your browser it's not going to open at the size it's supposed to (720 x 480). If, like me, you have your computer at maximum possible resolution, then it'll be screen-filling. You've been warned

Color Tests for Pilotside Chronicles
Color is not my friend, but I've been trying to tame it recently. My biggest problem is making sure that my art doesn't look like it had a rainbow vomit all over it, which tends to be a big problem.
This one is my favorite by far. I think the yellowish green could use some sort of more pleasant hue, but Ilike the way that the word bubbles pop off the page, and I like the way it looks kind of classy.
I like this one, but I think the plain white background is a little too stark, and it makes Haley and Johnny look sick. Maybe a different fourth color would fix this up. Again the yellowish green could use some deharshing
I like this because it kind of has a daily comic strip vibe to it. the background looks less stark because there's more white space in it, but it still looks a little empty
I like this one, but it was kind of a lot of work for the result I got. Not that I mind doing a lot of hard work, but I can't say it's particularly better than the ones above it. I know people are super excited about FULL COLOR sometimes, and I know that I actually kept most of the colors towards the gray side of the scale, so they're not hammering you in the face, but with the exception of maybe a poor choice in a background color for the first couple frames I actually like those more in ways.
I don' t know, any thoughts?

TRAIN PEOPLE
I finally had a few reasons to go into the city recently and that means drawing people on the train when they're not looking. The giraffe and kangaroo were drawn when I was listening to "Christmas at the Zoo" by The Flaming Lips.
