MST3K SUNDAY

my naming conventions got a little messed up because I'm used to naming sequential images for Maya, which has to read them as 001, 002, etc. From the Russo-Finnish movie Jack Frost. One of my favorite episodes ever.

I Like My Whiskey Strait and My Rows Dower

So I spent all day watching Mystery Science Theater 3000. Most of these are from The Final Sacrifice a Canadian movie about the Ziox, a mystical tribe from midland Canada. Basically, some serious stuff goes down.

The other drawings are from Mr. B Natural, a short about how awesome playing the trumpet is.

Pilotside Chronicles pt 2

This is the second introductory section of this comic. If people like it I'll make more, and so far things have been positive. Tomorrow I'll have drawings of people from really bad movies and shorts. I have three full pages of sketches from "Mr. B Natural." I'm in the mood to watch some MST3K so I'll probably have more.

Huh

I guess I haven't put any animation on this blog in the year and a half I've had it. So today I decided that instead of not doing anything that I'd just randomly do some tests or whatever to try to improve my skills. Here are two swf files: one is an unfinished walk cycle, where I want to make it into a frightened power walk, the other is just something I whipped up in five minutes when I was trying to think of how to do power walk arms.

Pilotside Chronicles Part 1

OK, so here's 5 pages of a test comic I did to prepare for the 24 Hour Comic Challenge that I actually ended up kind of liking. If other people seem to take to it I'd consider doing more, but who knows with kids these days?
I want to change the big wall of text on the 4th page, and I didn't like the way this strip ended so I cut the last frame out. I can think of a throwaway gag for the last frame sometime soon.
